When a devastating civil war threatened the lives of all those living in Liberia, 215,000 citizens became refugees, retreating to anywhere from neighboring African countries, to European countries to the United States of America. Some of the refugees from Liberia have come to Rochester, NY. These are their stories.
9000 Gallons of MilkEnter the Project
As you drive up the bumpy dirt road to Willow Bend Farm the pungent aroma of livestock fills the air. Over 1,000 cows wait patiently in the barn to enter the milking parlor three times a day, producing about nine gallons of milk each. This farm has been in the Mueller family for three generations, and will stay that way for generations to come.
