Hancock Associates is a land surveying, civil engineering, and wetland sciences company that serves Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. They maintain their position as an industry leader through their investment in exceptional staff, state-of-the-art equipment/technology and the acquisition of multiple land surveying and civil engineering firms and historical land surveying and civil engineering records.
Hancock wanted to stand out from the competition and showcase more of their services to attract larger clients. They had many marketing needs, including more consistent brand messaging and more professional design.
When Hancock Associates first approached us, they needed a website that better communicated their services. We took what had been a straightforward brochure website and created a new look and feel with more detailed, informative content. Hancock was so pleased with the result that they made us their Agency of Record, entrusting us with all their marketing needs.
Our team put together a series of rebranding actions, using the website design as a guide so all marketing was consistent. Tactics included print ads, brochures and flyers, signage for their offices and construction sites, tradeshow displays, and more.
PR services began with the distribution of press releases announcing new hires, promotions, and other company news. We also helped get employee-created articles published in important trade publications such as the New England Real Estate Journal and The American Surveyor at no charge. Digital marketing efforts included new Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn pages to help with employee recruitment and business development and Google search ads to help with new customer acquisition.
A decade later, with the internet’s landscape having changed, it was time to update Hancock’s website. Our designers and developers created something fresh and modern that reflected a new brand look and removed dark, saturated colors to bring more attention to new content. We designed the site with ease of navigation and SEO in mind. Each of the company’s departments had their own page that spoke about their credentials and capabilities. In the Sectors section, users were able to access case studies on projects sorted by industry. Each case study had detailed information about the project as well as links to similar projects. We also placed an emphasis on enhancing the Careers section to help with recruitment. We reworked the Open Positions section so each job was its own page, making them easier for search engines to find. We also expanded content about the benefits of working at the firm and added new information about their co-op and internship programs.
