Backyard Farms faced the challenge of effectively advertising in-store, emphasizing their locally grown tomatoes. The company wanted to highlight that their Maine-grown tomatoes could be delivered to nearby states hours after being picked from the vine, ensuring maximum freshness and flavor. However, they needed a creative way to capture the attention of shoppers and convey this message clearly to drive purchases.

Our solution

To address this challenge, our team developed a shopper-marketing solution focused on in-store visibility and engagement. 

We designed eye-catching, strategically placed signage for major Northeast retailers selling Backyard Farms tomatoes. To emphasize the “locally grown” message, the signage featured a creative, farm-inspired picket fence design that visually framed the tomatoes, reinforcing their fresh, Maine-grown origins. The messaging was direct and impactful, underscoring the freshness that Backyard Farms is known for. 

In addition to the signage, we implemented live product demonstrations to offer customers the chance to sample Backyard Farms tomatoes. This interactive experience allowed shoppers to taste the quality firsthand. The combination of engaging signage and live demos helped convert first-time customers into loyal buyers.
